Our next guest speaker Anne Sexton joins us for World Wellbeing Week 2021. In this next interview Anne reflects on her twenty-five years of practicing and teaching Pilates while sharing with us the impact this extraordinary method of exercise has had on both herself and on her clients.

Anne started her journey into the health and fitness arena in 1989 when she first qualified as an ITEC & NCEF gym instructor and Exercise To Music teacher. From there Anne set up her own circuit training classes, and when she later gained a Reebok step teacher qualification she travelled around south Dublin teaching step aerobic classes. Later Anne qualified as Personal Trainer through the NCEF in conjunction with the University of Limerick in 1995. Subsequently Anne ran a very successful Personal Training business in South County Dublin from 1995 to 2010 when she opened her Pilates Studio in Roundwood Co Wicklow. Anne first qualified as a Pilates trainer with Bodyfirm Pilates in 2002 having been introduced to Pilates through rehabilitation following injury to her neck, shoulder and low back in a car accident. Anne was so impressed with the amazing results from her daily Pilates routine that she went on to train as a teacher.
